Other projects

Last year a giant oak died from bore infestation. I cut it down and hauled it to a sawmill nearby. After much curing and spliting I was able to select enough pieces to make four rocking chairs for family. The red oak was so colorful that I just clear coated the wood.  The grain and color were a light rustic appearace that complimented my log home and son's western decor in Arizona. After my five foot tall mother dissappeared into a rocker comfortable for me at six feet, I decided to scale it down to 85% and made her one that fit her perfectly.
